His Royal Highness The Gyalsey (Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck) is featured in the free September calendar released by Yellow Bhutan. They release a free desktop and smartphone calendars each month of the year, often with images of the members of the Bhutanese Royal Family.

Introducing the September calendar, Yellow Bhutan said, “We are glad to make your Autumn celebrations even more special, with this month’s desktop calendar, which features this adorable photograph of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey. The numerous downloads and messages we get each month shows us the great anticipation with which so many people look forward to our calendars, and how overjoyed everyone feels, upon seeing our Prince grow up so quickly.”

After Yellow Bhutan released the September edition, Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema and His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck shared the post on their official Facebook pages. Both utilise their social media accounts to keep the public informed about their royal engagements. You can follow the King, here and the Queen, here.

It is not the first time the one-year-old heir apparent has been featured. His Royal Highness has been pictured in every month, alongside different family members, in 2017 with the exception of August. In June, he was pictured with his mother in celebration of her 27th birthday.

The free calendars include both the Gregorian calendar dates and Bhutanese Lunar calendar dates. The calendar for this month can be downloaded from their website here.

Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck was born on 5 February 2016 in Lingkana Palace. His parents married on 13 October 2011; their engagement had been announced earlier that year on 20 May. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel, now 37, came to the throne after the abdication of his father, King Jigme Singye, in 2006.
