Meghan Markle attended the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games

Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle, attended the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games in Toronto on Saturday evening.

The 36-year-old was seated in the stands away from the Prince. It was widely thought that she would be absent from proceedings.

Meanwhile a few stands away, Prince Harry was sat beside First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, and Governor General of Canada, Mark Johnston.

As the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games is an official engagement, Prince Harry sat with other dignitaries.

In addition to this, it is both Harry and Meghan’s intention for the event to be focused on the athletes rather than themselves.

Albeit brief, Meghan’s appearance at the ceremony makes it increasingly likely that she will attend at least another event in the coming days beside Harry.
