Fiancé of Prince Philip of Serbia promotes Serbia through Art

The future wife of Prince Philip of Serbia, Danica Marinković, has been hard at work promoting Serbia through art in the past, and is now helping coordinate an exhibit and auction for the Academy of European Law.

Danica Marinković helped coordinate her father, Cile Marinković’s participation in an art exhibit for the 25th anniversary of the Academy of European Law. The future princess’s father represents Serbia in the exhibit.

Per a press release from the Palace, “A series of activities will be organized, including a major congress on the state of European integration. All works of art will be sold or auctioned during the 25th anniversary of the ERA premises as well as online.”

“All art lovers and potential buyers will have the opportunity to compete for artists’ work, get to know artists from all over Europe and know about their art.”

The future Princess Diana is a graphic designer and collage artist who has collaborated with ELLE Serbia, the British Academy for Business, and the City of Paris, among other clients.

Marinković was born in Belgrade but spent her formative years in Paris, studying at the Academy of Applied Arts in Paris and then completing a Master’s degree at the Chelsea College of Art & Design in London.

Marinković will marry Prince Philip on 7 October at the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel, in Belgrade.

Prince Philip is the second eldest child of Crown Prince Alexander, heir to the defunct throne of Yugoslavia (now the precursor kingdom of Serbia) and Princess Maria da Gloria Orleans-Braganza.

Prince Philip has an older brother, Hereditary Prince Peter, and a fraternal twin brother, Prince Alexander. He has two stepbrothers from his stepmother, Crown Princess Katherine’s, first marriage.
