Breaking News: Princess Sofia of Sweden gives birth to her second child

Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia of Sweden has given birth to a healthy baby at Danderyd Hospital at 11:24 am. Both mother and child are doing well according to the Royal Court.

The press release said, "The Office of The Marshal of the Realm is delighted to announce that HRH Princess Sofia gave birth to a healthy child Thursday the 31 August 2017 at 11.24am at Danderyd Hospital".

"Both mother and child are in good health".

This is the second child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. It is the sixth grandchild for King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The gender of the baby has not yet been revealed.
