Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark one the first day of their two-day visit to Iceland to attend the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Denmark-Iceland Association.
The couple attended a welcome reception organized by the Denmark-Iceland Association at Nordic House in Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. The Denmark-Iceland Association aims to strengthen the bond between Denmark and Iceland, and it organizes conferences, concerts and exhibitions for that purpose. This year, 2016 is the Association's 100th anniversary of its establishment.
